01 Positive Psychology 1504 – YouTube this is the beginning of a course that has many lectures available.
For anyone interested, there’s a brilliant new free professional/social media site for researchers, educators and practitioners of mental health and behavioural science called Psychwire.
It’s a very useful site to promote / and collect evidence based resources – including research, gray literature, client handouts, policy documents, instruments as well as books and media in networks in areas of interest you may be interested in.
There’s a number of really interesting networks covering a broad range of topics from Neuroscience to Eating Disorders and a number of leading organisations and clinics that have recently joined and begun posting. I’m also following experts from Columbia and Yale Universities.
I’ve created a Creative Therapies network and uploaded research, media files and links some of you may find interesting. My goal is to create a global supportive forum for lively discussion, Q&A and the sharing of resources to deepen understanding and practical aspects of creativity and creative expression in therapy.
Practitioners might find also find the free practice profile beneficial. Its also a great platform if you want to be found for a job.
Here is the link. www.psychwire.org . It takes just 2-3 mins to sign up and I’ll think you’ll find it very worthwhile
Kind regards
Heidi Vial
If you’d like to more this is a cut and paste from an email I received recently:
Psychwire broadly:
Is for clinicians, researchers and students (and allied professionals – e.g policy makers, social workers, special needs teachers, occupational and speech therapists)
* Easily assists in the promotion & dissemination of a broad range of evidence based resources such as research, gray literature, tests/instruments, media (ppt, therapy demonstrations, keynotes), books.
* Is built around a range of networks types and topics – with inbuilt time saving options e.g can serve as a useful replacement for listservs – original posts are sent as emails – with the originator of the posts name + picture, professional position displayed. Files are automatically added to network collections (cloud storage) – are easily and quickly found.
* Access to a practitioner and allied professional base via networks can make it much easier to promote important activities. Participants for studies, events, workshops, new findings, and so on
